The Senufo tribe holds regional acclaim for their exceptional musical abilities and masterful wood carving, creating sculptures, masks, and figurines. Within their subgroups, specialized artisans pass down their art and craftsmanship from one generation to the next. The journey to become an artisan spans around seven to eight years, starting with apprenticeship where trainees create objects unrelated to Senufo religion, culminating in an initiation process that grants them the ability to craft ritual objects.
